School Trips to: Isle of Wight

What support will Education Destination provide us with?

Here at Education Destination we want to be the obvious choice when it comes to selecting a partner to arrange and manage Isle of Wight school trips.

We pride ourselves on the level of support our team provides before and during your visit. In this article we set out some of the time-saving aspects we think that every teacher will appreciate!

School Login
This is a special area of our website which is enabled as soon as you book. With just one click you can access:

  • Copies of all your booking documentation, legal and financial elements (we'll email these to you, but you can also access them here)
  • A full breakdown of your itinerary showing reservation status and confirmed dates/times for transport, accommodation and all activities
  • Your Day-by-Day Guide - a detailed at-a-glance daily breakdown of your itinerary
  • Introduction documents and picture galleries for all elements of your itinerary - virtual tours to familiarise yourself with all activities before you even set off
  • Safety Management Reports - compiled by a trusted third party for all key aspects of your itinerary
  • Sample Risk Assessments - provided by suppliers to help get you started (in many cases these can be used as-is)
  • Copies of Public Liability Insurance certificates for all relevant elements of your itinerary
  • Additional Useful Documents - anything else we feel might be important to you such as rooming plans, sample menus and hazard assessments
  • Educational Resources - dip into our massive pool of 750+ teacher-designed resources for all subjects at many Island attractions

Education Destination will assign you a dedicated account manager when you book - a single point of contact available to help take hassle away from your busy schedule, and who will be on hand 24x7 whilst you're travelling with us

You can contact us at any time if anything's not clear. We've being doing this for many years, so there's no such thing as a dumb question!

Need to arrange an inspection visit? No problem. We can arrange that. For most schools, however, the safety documentation and sample risk assessments are usually enough. If it's just a case of providing additional comfort to your SLT we can help get you the assurances you need, or make the necessary changes to satisfy them. Just ask!

Want to share more information with parents? We have tons of documentation available, from one-page overviews for each accommodation provider or activity through to detailed PowerPoint templates that you can customise to suit. Tell us what you need and we'll help!

Student(s) with unusual special needs? Go on - try to surprise us! We've worked with some extremely challenging individuals over the years and instinctively know what will/will not work, and which partners to pair up with. Whether the special needs are medical, behavioural, religious or physical, we'll be honest about what is/isn't possible. We believe in inclusivity and will do our best to ensure that every child travelling has the best possible time away.

Help with planning learning? We realise that with well over 750 FREE teaching resources to pick from to support educational visits to the Isle of Wight that this can be quite daunting. Tell us what you want to achieve during the trip - specific learnings, subjects, topic areas - and our specialists can advise based on the key stage and learning levels of the students travelling. We can even have them pre-printed for you in one of our Trip Diaries so you don't even need to print and bind them yourself!
