Everyone's boarded, the luggage is loaded up and the coach departs school for the journey to Portsmouth
Trip Diaries are distributed so that everyone has something to keep them quiet
Toilet stops will be taken as necessary
After a timely arrival at Portsmouth it's time to get off the coach and head upstairs to the open deck or the passenger lounge for a good look around. For many students, this will be their first time at sea
It's a 40 minute crossing to Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight, across waters which are generally quite sheltered
Land of Adventure
The rightly-named "Land of Imagination" with many different attractions in one park. Everything from nursery rhyme characters through to pirates, cowboys, fairies, goblins and life-sized animatronic dinosaurs!
Quintessential Romantic Castle
Sitting high and proud at the heart of the Isle of Wight, Carisbrooke Castle has been an artillery fortress, king's prison and royal summer residence.
Fossil Fun
A purpose-built interactive dinosaur and fossil museum conserving the rich collection of artefacts discovered primarily on the Isle of Wight.
Journey to a Forgotten Land!
A mini-golf adventure that takes players on a prehistoric journey into a forgotten land full of dinosaurs! Includes water features and life-sized dinosaur models.
Queen Victoria's Holiday Home

The Ultimate Falconry Experience
Our Falconry displays will include various birds of prey, Owls, Harris Hawks, Eagles, Falcons and our Vultures Sully or Ringo. Once you have taken your seats at the Woodland Stage or show field an enjoyable experience awaits you as the knowledgeable falconers provide you with a wealth of insight into the birds and their habits.
Step Back in Time
A living, working museum with a heritage steam railway passing through 5.5 miles of unspoilt countryside.
Up Close and Personal
Get up close and personal with the world-famous Needles! This short boat ride includes a detailed live commentary, which can be adapted to suit your age group or topic of interest.
Coastal Defences
Come and visit this diametric attraction - on one hand a Victorian coastal defence fort, and on the other a secret rocket testing site perched high above the Needles rocks!
After a short drive to Fishbourne it's time to get back on the ferry for the journey home to the "north island" as we call it...
It's a 40 minute crossing to Portsmouth on the mainland, and an ideal opportunity for everyone to eat a packed lunch before the onward journey
Back on the coach and now it's just a simple case of zipping up the motorway and back to school
The homeward journey should be a lot quieter than the drive down - hopefully everyone will be exhausted from having a great time here on the Isle of Wight and full of precious memories
Again, toilet stops will be taken as necessary
