Outdoor Adventure

88 acres of country park gives plenty of room for your school group to run free and let off some steam. With its big mix of features and attractions, Robin Hill makes a great day out and is excellent value for money.

A great selection of rides, a 4D cinema, and lots of outdoor activities including a regular falconry display, climbing apparatus, forest walks and much more.

Why not add a ride on the giant hillside toboggan run?

Robin Hill Country Park FAQs

Here's some of the most frequently-asked questions about school visits to Robin Hill Country Park, posed by teachers and other group leaders

What about toilets?

There are several toilet facilities spread throughout the park, so you're never more than a few minutes away from a loo! On arrival you'll be given a park map and all of the facilities will be clearly highlighted for you, including disabled options. There's a block right by the entrance.

Is there a first aid facility?

First aid is available just by the gift shop near the entrance/exit, with a dedicated medical room. If you need assistance whilst in the park, all members of staff are in radio contact with the front desk, so they will attend to you promptly.

How does payment work?

We will pre-book your visit for you and your entry charges will be paid directly by Education Destination. All you need to do is show up at the agreed time, line the kids up outside, identify yourselves to staff and you'll be enjoying the park in no time!

Is there somewhere to eat lunch?

The park has many picnic tables available for use. There are also cafes, snack bars and ice-cream huts within the park if you'd like to plan a treat or a hot lunch for example. We can help with that.

How accessible is the park?

There are many areas of the park that are on (sometimes quite steep) gradients, and lots of the attractions are intended primarily for the able-bodied (climbing frames etc.), however there are plenty of parts of the park that ARE accessible and there is a free tractor/trailer ride that runs back and forth from the main entrance which can certainly help cut down the walking. If this is a concern please talk to us and we can suggest alternatives.

How much time should we budget for?

To make the most of Robin Hill we'd suggest earmarking a full day, however it's a popular choice for the afternoon of arrival to blow off steam after the coach/ferry journer, or for the last morning before departure as it's on the way to the ferry port from most of the seaside towns.

What about bad weather?

Robin Hill is mostly an outdoors attraction with few aspects under cover, so you will need to check the forecast and go prepared. This IS the Isle of Wight though so is one of the sunniest and driest places in the UK!

Are all attractions free once we are inside?

Not quite. Whilst the majority of attractions are included in the entry fee, there are some "premium" activities that cost a little extra, such as the hillside high-speed toboggan ride. If you have a particularly active older cohort you might want to budget a few extra pounds.
